Udupi: Two arrested for MDMA sale to students, drugs worth Rs 1 lakh seized

Udupi, September 18, 2026: Manipal police have arrested two persons in connection with the alleged sale of MDMA to students in Udupi, Perampalli and Manipal.

The arrested have been identified as Akbar Mohammed, 44, from Udyavara in Udupi, and Syed Suhail, 26, from Bengaluru.

According to police, the accused allegedly brought MDMA from Bengaluru in a car and were selling it to students in and around Udupi, Perampalli and Manipal.

Police seized around 30 grams of MDMA valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh, four mobile phones worth Rs 40,000, a dongle worth Rs 5,000 and Rs 9,500 in cash. The car allegedly used in the offence was also seized.

A case has been registered at the Manipal police station, and further investigation is underway.
