Udupi: Three child labourers rescued

Udupi, Feb 09, 2024: Following complaints from the public that a jewellery shop near the Chittaranjan Circle had employed child labourers, the officials of the Labour Department, Children’s Protection Unit, Child Helpline and Police visited the place and rescued three child labourers.

 

The three children were employed for gold polishing works at the shop. They have been presently provided shelter in the Children’s Orphanage  as per the orders of the Child Welfare Committee.
