Udupi: Sudhaker Shetty, Pramod Madhwaraj file nominations

Udupi, April 16, 2013: Udupi’s BJP candidate Sudhaker Shetty accompanied by sitting MLA Raghupathi Bhat filed his nomination at the taluk office here. The BJP candidate earlier arrived at the venue along with hundreds of BJP workers.

Speaking to media men he said he was confident of a win and added he was sure that the public would support the BJP which was instrumental in initiating a number of developmental programmes.

Raghupathi Bhat who also spoke, said the BJP sincerely believed in development and did not believe in hatching conspiracies thereby indirectly indicating at the sleaze video allegedly involving him.

He attributed the recent defeat in ULB polls to internal conflicts but quickly asserted that everything has been sorted out.

Yashpal Suvarna, Manohar Kalmady, Gujjadi Prabhakar Nayak and others were present.

The Congress candidate from Udupi Pramod Madhwaraj also filed his nomination. Speaking on the occasion, he said  people who are fed up with the controversies and corruption involving the BJP government were now looking up at the Congress which is united.

Lalaji Mendon of BJP too filed nomination from Kaup constituency while Alevoor Yogish Acharya filed nomination as an independent candidate.
