Udupi: Student ends life by shooting himself

Udupi, Nov 7, 2013: Shreyas Shetty, a first year PUC student in Vidyodaya College, Udupi allegedly ended his life by shooting himself in his farm at Karaje village near Brahmavar  on November 7, Thursday morning.

Police sources said Shreyas had been to the farm with the licenced SBBL gun saying he would drive away monkeys which devour the crops. But soon his family heard a gun shot and they rushed to the farm only to find him lying  in a pool of blood. Bullet injury was found on his chest.

 

It is learnt, Shreyas did not like to stay in his house and had abandoned the house  twice earlier. On one occasion, the Police had traced him in Manipal.

Police have  registered a case as per the complaint lodged by his mother Vimala.
