Udupi: Schools to remain closed on Nov 28 ahead of PM Modi’s visit

Udupi, Nov 26, 2025: In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Udupi on Friday, November 28, Deputy Commissioner Swaroop T.K. has declared a one-day holiday for all Anganwadi centres, primary schools, and high schools falling under the limits of Udupi, Malpe, and Manipal police stations.

The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order and to avoid any inconvenience to schoolchildren due to traffic restrictions during the Prime Minister’s visit. The order states that academic lessons missed due to the holiday should be adjusted and completed on other general holidays.
