Udupi : SP Annamalai acts tough; reins in errant young bike riders

Udupi, July 22, 2015 : It has become very common for young  bike riders to flout traffic rules least bothered about the consequences, despite  repeated warnings by the Police Department as well as the RTO.

 

 

 

But, on July 21, Tuesday Udupi SP Annamalai  decided to take on the errant bike riders on his own.  The SP was seen in action on the roads and several youngsters, particularly students who were resorting to rash diving were intercepted and  served notices for traffic rule  violation.

Their vehicle registration documents were also seized. The SP  also stated that the students who were found riding rashly have been asked to  come to the station along with their parents on July 22, Wednesday.

The SP has further warned that stern action would be taken if the  riders violate rules in the future.
