Udupi, Oct 10, 2025: SDPI leader Riaz Kadambu remanded in judicial custody for violating bail conditions in hate speech case

Riaz Kadambu, an SDPI leader, has been remanded in judicial custody by the Udupi court for failing to comply with bail conditions in a hate speech case.

Earlier, a case had been registered against Kadambu under the Udupi City Police jurisdiction for making hate speeches. He had secured bail from the High Court, which required him to report to the Udupi City Police Station within 15 days. However, he reportedly failed to appear and violated the bail conditions.

Following this, the Udupi police presented Kadambu before the court, which ordered 14 days of judicial custody.
