Udupi, December 1, 2025: Former minister and BJP leader Pramod Madhwaraj has expressed uncertainty over who was responsible for denying him the opportunity to participate in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme at Udupi Sri Krishna Math.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Udupi District BJP office on Monday, Madhwaraj said, “I had offered a golden kavacha to the Kanaka Kindi of Sri Krishna Math as a service. I was delighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated it. I was hopeful that I too would get an opportunity to be part of the event. However, due to certain reasons, I was left out. I do not know who is responsible for it.”

He further stated that his Aadhaar card copy and photograph were collected four times in connection with arrangements for participation in the programme. “But on the night of November 27, I was informed by the SP that my name was not included in the list received from the PMO. I have no disappointment or resentment about this,” he clarified.

Madhwaraj added that he does not wish to speculate on who might have blocked his participation. “I do not know who prevented me from attending, nor do I want to place blame on anyone without reason. If someone has indeed kept me out, I believe it is their political misstep,” he said.

BJP Udupi District President Kuthyar Naveen Shetty, leaders Dinkar Shetty Herg, Divakar Shetty, Reshma Uday Shetty, Srinidhi Hegde and Srikanth Nayak were present at the press conference.
