Udupi : Police dept plans to step-up security at Sri Krishna Mutt

Udupi Dec 31, 2012 :  The police department was seriously contemplating to upgrade the security arrangements at the Sri Krishna Mutt of Udupi. There is also a proposal to install CCTV cameras at various points inside the Mutt.

 

The policed department even wants CCTVs in the Ashta Mutts, nearby parking areas as well as the six gates leading to Carstreet.

A meeting held under the presidentship of SP Dr Boralingaiah has decided to  conduct a survey and prepare a report on the estimated cost of the security upgradation.

The expenses are likely to reach upto Rs one crore and all the Ashta Mutts have agreed to bear the same. Even officials of the Ashta Mutts took part in the meeting.
