Udupi: Police arrest fifth accused in AKMS bus owner Saifuddin murder case

Udupi, December 16, 2025: Udupi police on Monday arrested the fifth accused in connection with the murder of AKMS bus owner Saifuddin.

The arrested individual has been identified as Mali Mohammed Siyan (31), a resident of Shanthi Nagar near Mission Compound, Udupi. He was taken into custody around 10.30 am near the MGM College bus stand.

During the arrest, police seized a Glanza car bearing registration number KA20 MF 207, which was allegedly used in the crime, along with a mobile phone belonging to the accused.

He has since been produced before the court.

Earlier, four other accused in the case were arrested and are currently in judicial custody.
