Udupi: Patient dies after ambulance crashes into divider near MGM College

Udupi, July 19, 2025: A patient being transported to Manipal Hospital lost his life after the ambulance he was in collided with a road divider on the Udupi–Manipal highway. 

The accident occurred near MGM College, where the ambulance—en route from Koteshwara to Manipal—reportedly lost control at a road diversion and crashed into the barricades. 

The patient was quickly transferred to another ambulance and taken to a private hospital in Manipal, where he was declared dead.
