Udupi : Miscreants hurl beer bottle at Uchila masjid

Udupi, May 6, 2013  : There was tension in the air at Bhaskernagar near Uchila in Udupi district on May 5, Sunday night after some unidentified miscreants hurled a beer bottle inside the local masjid.

 

It is learnt devotees were inside the mosque when the incident took place at around 9 pm. Though they immediately rushed to trap the miscreants, they were unsuccessful.

The local police rushed to the spot to prevent any untoward incident. Several leaders including MA Gafur of Congress and Deviprasad Shetty, JD(S) district leader visited the spot.
