Udupi: Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar unfurls tricolor on 77th Independence Day

Udupi, Aug 15, 2023: The 77th Independence Day was celebrated at the Mahatma Gandhi Stadium at Ajjarkad on August 15, Tuesday. Udupi District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Women and Child Welfare Lakshmi Hebbalkar unfurled the national flag and received the guard of honour.

 

 

 

In her address, Hebbalkar urged citizens to pledge to strive to protect the hard earned independence. Each and everyone have to rededicate themselves to realise the dreams of the Mahatma and work for the development of the nation, she said.

Stating that Udupi was a land of intelligent people, she said she was fortunate to work for the district as its in-charge Minister.

Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna, Deputy Commissioner Vidyakumari, Additional DC Mamatha Devi, ZP CEO Prasanna H, District Superintendent of Police Akshay Machindra and others were present.
