Udupi: Fisherman dies after falling into water at Malpe port

Udupi, Oct 2, 2025: A tragic incident occurred at Malpe port where a fisherman from Odisha lost his life after accidentally falling into the water. The deceased has been identified as Manadhar Munda (30), a native of Odisha.

Munda had been working on a fishing boat at Malpe port. On the night of September 28, he accidentally fell into the water and went missing. His body was recovered on the morning of September 30 near the dock waters in front of the CSP office at the port.

A case has been registered at the Malpe police station.
