Udupi: Family donates organs of 41-year-old Pranav Hegde, gives new hope to five lives

Manipal, Aug 28, 2026: The family of 41-year-old Pranav Hegde from Ambagilu has set an inspiring example by donating his organs following his sudden death on Thursday.

Pranav’s two kidneys, liver and corneas were donated to Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal. The donation is expected to give a new lease of life and hope to at least five people.

A former employee of Manipal Technologies, Pranav is survived by his mother, wife and two daughters.

The family’s decision to donate Pranav’s organs, despite their grief, has been widely appreciated as a compassionate and socially responsible gesture.
