Udupi: Electric scooter catches fire while on move, rider escapes unhurt

Udupi, Sep 14, 2026: An electric scooter caught fire suddenly while it was being ridden on a road in Udupi.

The rider noticed the fire, stopped the scooter in the middle of the road and immediately moved away to safety. He escaped unhurt in the incident.

Local residents later poured water on the scooter and managed to douse the flames. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
