Udupi : DC visits shops, malls ; urges public to follow Covid rules

Udupi, Jan 06, 2022: Udupi Deputy Commissioner M Kurma Rao visited  various commercial establishments as well as malls in the city  to ensure people  followed Covid guidelines like wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.

 

The DC accompanied by CMC officials spoke to shopkeepers and  urged them to wear masks. Later the DC said many people are found without masks and added that fines have been imposed on violators.

The DC also stated that weekend curfew will be imposed from 8 pm on Friday to 5 am on Monday. He said industries and IT offices are allowed to function. He also stated that during the curfew hotels and restaurants are only allowed  parcel service and home delivery.
