Udupi: Cops return stolen valuables worth Rs 74 lakhs to rightful owners

Udupi, Mar 22, 2023: Stolen valuables worth several lakhs of rupees which were recovered by the police, were returned to their rightful owners  on March 21, Tuesday. Items worth Rs 74,52,170 were returned to the owners.

 

The returned things included vehicles worth Rs 2,94,000, gold worth Rs 68,23,810, silver articles worth Rs 88,510, mobile phones worth Rs 75,700 and cash of Rs 1,70,150.

The valuables that were returned were pertaining to 40 cases reported from Udupi, Kundapur, Padubidri, Brahmavar, Byndoor, Kollur, Hiriadka, Kaup, Kota and Malpe.

Udupi SP, Akshay Machindra, ASP S T Siddalingappa and other senior police officials were present.
