Udupi: Car rams into bus from behind; woman seriously injured

Udupi, June 22, 2024: A woman travelling in a car sustained serious injuries after the car rammed into a bus that abruptly halted on the road without any indication on the Highway at Padubidri on June 21, Friday.

The injured woman is Pushpalatha Acharya (56) of Mangaluru. The Express bus on way to Udupi from Mangaluru had halted on the National Highway abruptly without entering the service road. This resulted in the car colliding with the bus from behind. Pushpalatha was travelling with her daughter and a relative when the mishap took place.

The front portion of the car was badly mangled due to the impact of the collision.
