Udupi: Biker killed after coming under truck; NHAI, contractor, driver booked

Udupi, Sep 1, 2025: A 38-year-old biker, Pradeep from Dendorkatte, died on the spot after coming under a container truck at Ambalpady on Monday evening. The impact was so severe that his head was completely crushed.

Pradeep, who worked at an automobile shop in Ambalpady, was shifted to the government hospital with the help of social worker Nityananda Volakadu. The Udupi traffic police carried out formalities.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against NHAI authorities, Karla Construction—the contractor executing the overpass work at Ambalpady junction—and the container driver for negligence.a
