Udupi: Bike rider killed in hit-and-run accident at Uchila

Udupi, Sep 30, 2025: A bike rider was killed in a hit-and-run accident on NH 66 at Uchila on Tuesday, September 30.

An unidentified vehicle collided with the two-wheeler, killing the rider on the spot. The deceased, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, was riding a Puttur-registered bike from Udupi towards Mangaluru when the accident occurred. The impact threw the rider onto the road, resulting in fatal injuries.

Social worker Jamaluddin Uchila, along with Hamid from Muloor, Rayees, Razak, Anwar Koteswara, and Sadiq Padubidri, helped shift the body to the mortuary.

Padubidri police visited the site and have launched an investigation into the incident.
