Udupi : 2 drug peddlers nabbed ; 1.2 kg ganja seized

Udupi, Aug 1, 2013 :  Two drug peddlers were  arrested by the DCIB sleuths  near Fisheries Road at Giliyaru on July 31, Wednesday. Police also seized 1.2 kg ganja from them.

Those arrested are Akashbhavan Ibrahim alias Escape Ibrahim (42) and Khader(46) of Padukere. The arrest followed a tip off. Police said the duo were arrested while they were waiting for a customer near the Varuna Theertha Pond.

Interrogations of the arrested revealed that they brought ganja from Shimoga and sold it here. The police have also seized some cash and two-wheeler from them.

Of the two arrested Akashbhavan Ibrahim is a notorious criminal who has several complaints against him in various police stations of the district.
