Udupi: 2 drug peddlers get two years RI

Udupi, June 07, 2023: The Udupi Principal District and Sessions Court has passed a judgement sentencing two persons to two years of rigorous imprisonment and a penalty of Rs 50,000 in a drugs peddling case.

The convicts are Tipir Neni Aditya (21) from Hyderabad and a resident of Manipal Saralebettu and Hemanth Reddy (20) hailing from Telangana and a resident of Manipal.

They were arrested while selling ganja near the Shankernarayana Temple of Udupi on October 27, 2019. Police had seized 4 kg ganja from them.
