Udupi: 11-year-old boy dies of sudden cardiac arrest; police complaint filed

Udupi, July 16, 2025: In a tragic incident, 11-year-old Rance Cathal D’Souza, a Class 6 student at a private school in Udupi, passed away following a sudden cardiac arrest on Tuesday morning.

Rance was at home in Thottam with his sister when he unexpectedly collapsed, leaving his family and the local community in deep sorrow.

He was the son of Ashwin and Saritha D’Souza. The tragedy comes amid an already difficult time for the family, as his mother had been hospitalised a few days earlier due to illness.

A complaint has been lodged at the Malpe police station, and further investigation is underway.
