Two More Arrested in Pradeep Poojary Suicide Case; Total Arrests Rise to Four

Udupi, Nov 8, 2026: Udupi police have arrested two more persons in connection with the abetment to suicide case of Pradeep Poojary, taking the total number of arrests to four.

The latest arrested are Dinesh Shetty and Adarsh Kanchan, both residents of Varanga village. They were apprehended in Karkala on the night of November 7 by Hiriyadka police.

Earlier, police had arrested Pawan Kumar (24), a native of Uttar Pradesh, and a minor near Bhopal railway station in Madhya Pradesh on November 3. Pawan was remanded to judicial custody on November 5, while the minor was placed in an observation home.

A special police team was formed under the guidance of Udupi DySP K U Belliyappa to trace the accused. The latest arrests were made by Hiriyadka police station in-charge Sub-Inspector Muktabai and her team.

The two accused were handed over to Udupi Town Police Inspector Mahesh Prasad, the investigating officer. Further investigation is underway.
