Truck driver from Mangaluru dies in road accident in Maharashtra

Mangaluru, Feb 25, 2026: A 28-year-old married truck driver from Boliyar near Mudipu lost his life in a tragic road accident that occurred in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Rizwan, son of B.H. Kareem, a resident of Boliyar.

Rizwan had been working for several years as a driver of a fish-transport truck through a private company. According to police sources, the accident took place on February 23 when he was transporting a consignment of fish to Ratnagiri. His truck reportedly collided with another truck, resulting in a severe crash. Rizwan sustained grievous injuries in the collision and died on the spot.

He is survived by his parents, wife, two-year-old child, three brothers and three sisters.
