Tremors felt in Dakshina Kannada-Kodagu border areas

Sullia, Aug 15, 2022: Several places on the borders of Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu districts experienced tremors on August 13, Sunday evening.

 

Residents of Kallugundi and Kalmakar heard a loud sound followed by tremors.  Similar was the experience of Gulikkana and Mentekaje.

The loud sound could be heard even upto Kollamogru. Even tremors were felt in Mangalapare and Chattekallu.

It may be recalled here that  similar tremors were felt in Sullia and surrounding areas about one and a half months ago. Some houses in Sampaje had also developed cracks then.
