Tremors felt again in Sullia, surrounding areas; locals panic

Mangaluru, June 28, 2022: Tremors were felt in Sullia taluk again on June 28, Tuesday morning sending waves of panic among residents. According to local residents they felt tremors at around 7.44 and 7.45 am. It is said that there were tremors after a loud and queer sound forcing people to rush out of their houses.

 

People also said all the furnitures and vessels in the house were found shaking and so were the roofing sheets.

The tremors were felt in Sullia, Sampaje, Goonadka, Guttigaru and other places.

Town Panchayat President Vinaykumar Kandadka said loud sound was also heard when there were  tremors.

Tremors were felt in Sullia area on Sunday also and the Richter scale showed a tremor of 2.3 severity centered near Karike.
