Transgenders protest against Union Govt

Mangaluru, Dec 28, 2018: Several transgenders  staged a protest in front of the DC office here on December 28, Friday to oppose the Transgender  Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill. The protest was held under the aegis of the Parivartana Charitable Trust.

 

 

Addressing the protestors, Sanjana, Secretary of the Trust, questioned why the transgenders whose long standing demands have not been fulfilled, are now  forced to suffer in the name of this Bill.

The protestors also demanded that the Government dropped the Transgender Bill.
