Train service changes announced to facilitate track maintenance in Palakkad division

Mangaluru, December 2, 2025: To facilitate track maintenance works in various locations in the Palakkad division on multiple days, the following changes were made to the train services
PARTIAL CANCELLATION OF TRAIN SERVICE
1. Train No. 56603 Coimbatore Junction - Shoranur Junction Passenger, journey commencing on 21st & 27th December 2025, from Coimbatore Junction will be short-terminated at Palakkad Junction. This train service will be partially cancelled between Palakkad Junction and Shoranur Junction.
2. Train No. 56602 Shoranur Junction – Kozhikode Passenger journey commencing on 10th & 17th December 2025 from Shoranur Junction will be short-terminated at Ferok. This train service will be partially cancelled between Ferok and Kozhikode.
3. Train No. 56608 Nilambur Road - Palakkad Junction Passenger, journey commencing on 21st & 27th December 2025, from Nilambur Road will be short-terminated at Shoranur Junction. This train service will be partially cancelled between Shoranur Junction and Palakkad Junction.
An unreserved special train will be operated from Shoranur Junction to Palakkad Junction after the completion of the work. The special train will have the same stoppages as Train No.56608.
REGULATION OF TRAIN SERVICES
1. Train No. 12977 Ernakulam Junction – Ajmer Junction Marusagar Weekly Superfast Express, journey commencing on 07th, 14th, 21st, 28th December 2025 & 04th January 2026, from Ernakulam Junction will be regulated for 01 hour en route.
2. Train No. 12224 Ernakulam Junction – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Duronto Superfast Weekly Express, journey commencing on 07th, 14th, 21st, 28th December 2025 & 04th January 2026, from Ernakulam Junction will be regulated for 01 hour en route.
3. Train No. 16338 Ernakulam Junction – Okha Bi-Weekly Express, journey commencing on 12th, 19th, 26th December 2025 & 02nd January 2026, from Ernakulam Junction will be regulated for 01 hour en route.
4. Train No. 16844 Palakkad Town – Tiruchirappalli Junction Express, journey commencing on the 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th & 31st December 2025, from Palakkad Town will be regulated for 30 minutes en route.
5. Train No. 66610 Ernakulam Junction – Palakkad Junction MEMU, journey commencing on the 21st & 27th December 2025, from Ernakulam Junction will be regulated for 01 hour en route.
6. Train No. 16382 Kanniyakumari – Pune Junction Express, journey commencing on 21st & 27th December 2025, from Kanniyakumari will be regulated for 40 minutes en route.
7. Train No. 56604 Shoranur Junction - Coimbatore Junction Passenger, journey commencing on 29th, 30th December 2025 & 01st, 02nd, 03rd, 04th, 05th, 06th January 2026, from Shoranur Junction will be regulated for 30 minutes en route.
8. Train No. 12521 Barauni Junction – Ernakulam Junction Weekly Express, journey commencing on 28th December 2025, from Barauni Junction will be regulated for 01 hour en route.
9. Train No. 12511 Gorakhpur Junction – Thiruvananthapuram North Raptisagar Tri-Weekly Superfast Express, journey commencing on 04th January 2026, from Gorakhpur Junction, will be regulated by 01 hour 10 minutes en route.
10. Train No. 16307 Alappuzha – Kannur Express, journey commencing on 10th, 17th & 24th December 2025, from Alappuzha will be regulated by 01 hour en route.
11. Train No. 22633 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction Weekly Superfast Express, journey commencing on 10th, 17th & 24th December 2025, from Thiruvananthapuram Central will be regulated by 01 hour en route.
12. Train No. 12082 Thiruvananthapuram Central - Kannur Janshatabdi Superfast Express, journey commencing on 10th, 17th & 24th December 2025, from Thiruvananthapuram Central will be regulated by 50 minutes en route.
13. Train No. 12618 Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction – Ernakulam Junction Mangala Lakshadweep Superfast Express, journey commencing on 10th & 17th December 2025, from Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction will be regulated by 50 minutes en route.
14. Train No. 22638 Mangaluru Central – Dr MGR Chennai Central West Coast Express, journey commencing on 11th & 18th December 2025, from Mangaluru Central, will be regulated by 40 minutes en route.
15. Train No. 22637 Dr MGR Chennai Central - Mangaluru Central West Coast Superfast Express, journey commencing on 22nd December 2025, from Dr MGR Chennai Central will be regulated by 01 hour 40 minutes en route.
16. Train No. 22637 Dr MGR Chennai Central - Mangaluru Central West Coast Superfast Express, journey commencing on 23rd December 2025, from Dr MGR Chennai Central will be regulated by 01 hour en route.
