Three students drown in Netravati river at Konaje, five rescued

Mangaluru, Sep 4, 2017: Three students of an Engineering college feared drowned in the Netravati river at Nadugudde near Inoli in Konaje Police station limits on Monday September 4. While five other students were rescued by the locals.

The deceased have been identified as Vishal (21) Shubam (22) and Sriram (21).

The exact circumstances leading to the tragedy are not yet ascertained, but it is said that all the eight students had gone for swimming in the river.

Body of a missing student was recovered and search operation is on for the remaining two students.
