Three fall ill after consuming home-grown amaranthus leaves curry; hospitalized

Puttur, April 29, 2023: Three people from Kailaji in Bellippady village have been admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru  as they fell ill after reportedly consuming curry prepared using amaranthus leaves (Harive Soppu) grown in their backyard.

 

Those hospitalized are Koragappa Gowda, his wife Lalitha and Ramesh Adkaraguri.

The family had consumed the amaranthus leaves curry in the afternoon and by evening they had developed severe health issues following which they were hospitalized.
