Thieves tie up woman; decamp with valuables worth lakhs of rupees

Belthangady, Nov 14, 2022: Thieves who  barged into a house  at Naravi in Belthangady taluk on November 12 evening  have decamped with jewellery worth lakhs of rupees after tying down the woman  who was living alone in that house.

 

The dacoity took place in the house of Prabhavathi Naika of Arasikatte. The  masked assailants gagged the woman, tied down her hands and legs, robbed her of the gold chain and ear rings which she was wearing and then even laid their hands on other jewellery and a mobile phone in the house.

The value of the stolen valuables is estimated at Rs 4.6 lakhs. Venoor police are investigating the case.
