Thieves break into shops and steal valuables worth Rs. 6 lakh

Bantwal, June 19, 2012: A gang of thieves broke into a jewelry store and a wine store in Bantwal and stole cash and jewelry worth nearly Rs. 6 lakh. 

The thieves broke into Vaibhav Jewelers on the night of Sunday and stole one-and-a-half kilogram of new silver ornaments, 2 kilograms of old silver ornaments, and Rs. 1.5 lakh. 

They also broke into Rajesh Wine Shop and stole branded liquor worth Rs. 20,000.
The owners discovered the theft on Monday and reported to the police. 

After conducting preliminary investigations, the police concluded that the thieves had arrived in a vehicle. They also feel that the thieves took the help of certain local people or domestic servants who are aware of the routine of the owners of the burgled shops. A police officer said that they will interrogate domestic servants and local people to get some clues.
