Theft of pilgrims’ jewellery at Udupi Krishna Mutt

Udupi, May 14, 2022: Valuables including jewellery belonging to some tourists from Chikkaballapur who had come to Udupi Krishna Mutt, were reported stolen on Friday night.

 

The family of Shanmugam of Chikkanahalli of Chikkaballapur district had visited the Krishna Mutt when the thieves had stolen the box containing valuables from the vanity bag of Shanmugam’s wife.

The stolen jewellery weighing 155 grams is valued at Rs 6.30 lakhs. A complaint has been lodged at Udupi Town Police Station.
