Terror alert: Security stepped up at Mangalore Airport

Mangalore, June 16, 2014: Mangalore International Airport at Bajpe is on high alert after  Intelligence  sources have warned of a possible terror strike. Central Industrial Security  Force  officials have been posted at the Airport for additional security.

It may be recalled here that Indian Mujahideen Co-Founder Yaseen Bhatkal was brought to Mangalore for enquiry some time back after his arrest.More recently even  Yasin aide Asadulla was brought to the city by the NIA officials.

 There is information that Yasin aides were active in Kasargod and other areas on the Kerala-Karnataka borders.

All passengers entering and departing the airport are subject to thorough screening.
