Tempting children the wrong way!

Mangalore Today News Network

Moodbidri, March 28, 2013 : To woo children by selling chocolates in attractive packs like a tiny plastic ball, bat, radio etc etc, is purely a business tactic. But of late, several shops in the town are seen selling peppermints in blister packs similar to the ones which are used for tablets.

Inside these blister packs are some  colorful peppermints and two white coloured peppermints resembling tablets on either side. They also taste good. But, selling chocolates in blisterpacks similar  to that of tablets, seems to be dangerous. Children may surely be tempted to buy them.At the same time there is also the danger of small children even consuming some tablets they find at home, mistaking them for chocolates.

Shouldn’t the Food and Civil Supplies Department take serious cognizance of this?
