Temple town Udupi gets ready for Paryaya festival

Udupi, Dec 27, 2011 : The “Chappara Muhurta” and the “Bhattha Muhurta” of Shri Sode Mutt were held on Dec 26 Monday in preparation for the Paryaya festival in Udupi, which is to be held on Jan 17 – 18.

 

 

 

 

 

The Chappara Muhurta was initiated in front of Gita Mandira near Rajangana Hall by Shri Sode Mutt Seer Shri Vishwavallabha Teertha Swamiji. An areca pole was raised in front of the Gita Mandira as part of this ritual.

A large number of Mutt disciples, Sudharshan Puthraya, Madhwesha Thanthri, Udaya Thanthri, and Padigaru Shreenivasa, the diwan of Shri Sode Mutt, participated in the event.
