Teenager dies in an attempt to suicide along with her lover on sleeper coach in Kundapur

Kundapur, Nov 28, 2012: Lovers tried to commit suicide on a sleeper coach bus going from Bangalore to Kundapur on Nov 28, Wednesday. While the girl is dead, the boy is in a serious condition. It is believed that the lovers were afraid of their parents’ disapproval in getting married.

The dual were Manasa, a I PU student of Chikkaballapur PU College, and Manjunath, a II PU student of the same college.

 

 

The two boarded the bus to Kundapur on the night of Tuesday. The conductor was shocked to find them on the same berth. The couple was immediately rushed to Kundapur Government Hospital, after which Manjunath’s body was moved to Mangalore. Manasa’s body was taken to Kundapur morgue.

The couple had 80 Anxinil 0.5mg tables and 10 Aluminium phosphide 3g tablets in their possession and was found to have consumed fifty of the Anxinil tables and all the Aluminium Phosphide tablets.

Reportedly, the couple’s parents were against the relationship. Manasa and Manjunath had gotten married before deciding to commit suicide.

The Kundapur police have registered a case.
