Team of 112 from Sikkim arrives for National Youth Festival

Mangalore, Jan 10, 2012 : A team of 112 young people has already arrived from Sikkim to participate in the 17th National Youth Festival, scheduled to be held in Mangalore from Thursday.

Their leader Lal Bahadur Pande said that, although they had a long and tiring journey, they are now more relaxed and looking forward to the event. The team had arrived at Mangalore through Gangtok, Siliguri, New Jalpaiguri, and Chennai. The last phase of their journey was especially tiring because they had not confirmed their tickets.

 

 

The Sikkim team will participate in the classical instrumental, folk song, folk music, and elocution competitions.

Accommodation has been arranged for the team.
