Teachers honoured on Teachers’ day

Mangalore, Sep 5, 2013: DK Zilla Panchayat, and Mangalore South Zone Teachers Day Celebration Committee jointly celebrated DK District level Teachers Day at Town Hall on September 5, Thursday.

Speaking after inaugurating the event with a floral tribute to Radhakrishnan’s Portrait State Health Minister U T Khader said that only two people are necessary to bring changes in one’s life including mother and teacher. 

He also urged the teachers to look after the students like their children and give importance to their health. The teachers must make the students consume the Iron tablets provided by the government to main their health.

He also felicitated two retired teacher Annayya and Abdul Samadh for their service with shawl, garland, citation and a memento. 

Corporator Ashok DK, Zilla Panchayat member Yashawanthi Alva, Ramila Shekar, Professor and Dean, the Post Graduate Department, Roshni Nilaya, Corporator Akhila Alva and others were present.
