Tanker overturns at Trasi ; cleaner dies

Kundapur, Dec 7, 2012:  A tanker transporting fish oil overturned at Trasi on the National Highway 66 on December 6, Thursday killing its cleaner. The tanker driver and another person in the vehicle however had a miraculous escape.

 

 

 

The deceased has been identified as Subrahmanya (23) of Hassan. Reports say the mishap took place when the driver was trying to give way for a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The tanker was on way to Chattisgarh from Kota.  It is learnt, the cleaner who was seriously injured in the mishap, died on way to hospital.

 The accident disrupted traffic on NH 66 some time.  Gangolli police have registered a case.
