Talented volleyball player from Belthangady succumbs to heart attack

Belthangady, May 31, 2023: A 24 year old national level volleyball player hailing from Belthangady has died of heart attack on May 31, Wednesday. The deceased is Saliyath. She was an old student of SDM College of Ujire.

 

Hailing from Padangady Poyyegudde, Saliyath who got married a year ago was residing with her husband at Chikkamagalur. She was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru after she suffered from chest pain. She died in the hospital on Wednesday.

 She had represented the state in the national level volleyball tournament held at Allahabad and had played a crucial role in securing second spot for the state team.

While pursuing her education at SDM College, she had further excelled in the sport and had received good coaching.

She had won many medals for her outstanding achievement.
