Suspected ISIS links : NIA takes woman into custody from Ullal

Mangaluru, Jan 3, 2022: A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials has taken into custody a woman from Ullal on suspicion that she has ISIS links.

The woman has been identified as Deepti Maarla alias Mariam. An NIA team which arrived by a vehicle took along the woman from her house at Masthikatte. She was subject to medical examination at Wenlock Hospital and later produced before the court. There is information that the NIA team would take her to New Delhi.

It may be recalled here that an NIA team had earlier raided the Ullal house on August 4 lat year and had arrested a man named Abdul Rehman.
