Surprise twist to case of suicide attempt by lovers

Karkala, Nov 8, 2013: There has been a surprise twist to the recent case of suicide attempt of a young pair of lovers after they were spotted by a hospital watchman at Karkala on November 5, Tuesday night. If it was earlier reported that feeling ashamed after getting caught, the young man had jumped off the third floor of the hospital building while the girl, a nurse had slit her nerves. However, the young man has now claimed that he did not attempt suicide but was thrown from the third floor.
The youth has claimed that when he had been to give food parcel to the nurse, he was assaulted by some miscreants who then pushed him down from the third floor. The man who has sustained injuries on his legs, hands and back is recovering at KMC hospital, Manipal.
A complaint lodged with the police said that he was assaulted by one Srikanth, a resident of Jodurasthe and three others.

Lovers caught red-handed by hospital watchman; attempt suicide
Karkala, Nov 7, 2013: An incident in which a nurse and her lover attempted suicide after they were caught red handed by the watchman of a nursing home in Karkala has been reported on November 6, Tuesday night.
Sources said a young woman of Tamil Nadu origin had joined as nurse in the nursing home just three weeks ago. It is said she was in love with one Prakash Shetty of Borkatte who was a friend of her uncle Girish.
The young woman was madly in love with Prakash and their love making continued unabated in the hospital only to be caught red handed by the security guard on Tuesday. It is learnt though the hospital allowed only women staff during night tome, the young man used to enter the hospital on the pretext of bringing food to the patients and had hidden in the rest room of the nurses.
The watchman who had noticed this, had banged the locked door of the rest room.
The nurse opened the door after much persuasion and the watchman found the young man hiding under the cover of clothes. Ashamed after getting caught, the young man immediately jumped from the third floor of the hospital building. He has sustained serious fractures. Meanwhile, even the young woman who slit her nerves is admitted to the hospital in a critical state.
