Suratkal toll gate closed ; No changes in charges at Hejamady

Mangaluru, Dec 01, 2022: The longstanding movement demanding the closure of the Suratkal toll gate has ended with the toll gate officially closing down on the midnight of November 30.

 

Meanwhile, as earlier reports said, there has been no revision of toll charges at Hejamady toll gate where the usual toll is collected. Earlier there were reports that the Suratkal toll would be part of the Hejamady toll charges.

Navayug Toll Plaza sources revealed that there is no information regarding the revision of toll fee  at Hejamady and that the toll will be the same from December 1.

It may be recalled here that the public while welcoming the closure of the Suratkal toll gate had strongly opposed any move to increase toll at Hejamady toll gate.
