Suratkal police rescue 8 cows

Mangalore, July 20, 2012 : The Suratkal police seized a Scorpio, which was illegally transporting 8 cattle to the slaughter house.

The police team stopped the vehicle near Hosabettu on NH66. The Scorpio was on its way from Udupi to Mangalore.

However, the driver of the Scorpio and a few others ran away when they saw the police.

The seized cattle were then sent to the cow shelter at Pajeer.
