Sullia’s Govind N S appointed Kannada Translator for Lok Sabha proceedings

Sullia, Dec 08, 2023: Dr Govind N S of Harihara Pallathadka has been appointed as a Kannada translator entrusted with the task of translating Lok Sabha proceedings.

 

The new Parliament building has facility for the translation of the proceedings into Indian languages. Accordingly there are five consultant interpreter posts for all languages included in the Eighth schedule of the Constitution. A total of 15 people had applied for the role of Kannada translator of whom four were appointed. The remaining  three who have been selected are Delhi Kannadigas.
