Sullia: Young doctor succumbs to injuries after KSRTC bus and bike accident near Sonangeri

Sullia, July 5, 2025: A tragic incident has been reported wherein a young doctor, who had sustained serious injuries in a recent accident involving a KSRTC bus and a bike near Sonangeri, has passed away while undergoing treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Dr. Shamant from Kallugundi, who succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Mangaluru on July 4.

He had suffered severe injuries to his leg and was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru. Due to the critical condition of his leg, he had also undergone surgery. Dr. Shamant was serving as a doctor at the Namma Clinic in Duggaladka and the accident had occurred while he was returning home from the hospital.
