Sullia: Woman dies after consuming wild fruit juice

Sullia, Oct 03, 2023: A 35 year old woman lost her life after she fell ill following consumption of a wild fruit juice thinking it was an edible fruit.

 

The deceased woman is Leelavathi from Kullaje in Amarapadnur village.  Leelavathi had brought Mairol wild fruit a week ago and had consumed its juice along with her father. Later both of them had fallen ill. As the condition of Leelavathi had worsened she was rushed to the Sullia Government Hospital and was shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru on Monday where she breathed her lost.

Leelavathi is survived by her husband and three children.
